February 2012
I can't write much because I am out of internet time, and I need to get
this update published!
Internet service in the Bahamas is sketchy, so you run with it when you
can.
The photo album will show you how much fun we've had in the
Bahamas. We met our friends on s/v Interlude, Tom and Cathy.
They are so nice and such fun to be with. So glad we caught up with
them. Then Barbara and Joanne (our Jersey girls!) came out for a
visit. We loved having them on board! Perfect guests!
In George Town, there is a very large cruising community.
Activities are going on around here every day. They have a VHF radio
net every morning that shares all the happenings. Poker nights,
trivial pursuit, dances, volleyball games, dominoes, jam sessions, yoga on
the beach, star-gazing lessons, ham radio classes, bus trips, and the list
goes on. Plus, the annual George Town Cruisers Regatta is
coming up in a week. That has brought in even more boaters and there
will be tons of activities going on. I plan to walk Lucy in the Pet
Parade on opening day. Pictures of that event will be in next
month's update.
My Aunt Nola and sister Valarie are arriving in the next few
days. We are excited to have them on board. Always fun and
easy. This will be there third visit on Aquila .. first in Italy,
then in New England, and now in the Bahamas. Maybe they want to buy
Aquila? She's for sale, you know.
Gotta go. See you next month.
