On December 22, 2004, Aquila arrived in San Diego via freighter from Taiwan.  After off-loading her from the freighter, minimal electronics and lights were installed for the 17-hour trip to Marina del Rey.  We departed San Diego at 4 p.m., motored all night and arrived in Marina del Rey about 9 a.m. the next morning, December 23.

A couple of weeks worth of work remained to be done ... installation of sails, rigging, electronics, and sea trials.  We had to take advantage of the break in weather, and did an offshore delivery on January 6, 2005.  Now she's really ours!
