We spent two weeks in Trinidad preparing Aquila to be without us for 3 months.
In Trinidad, we took a tour to see the giant Leatherback turtles laying their eggs.  The turtle looks red because we used a red flashlight so as not to disturb her.

After she lays the eggs, she covers the nest with sand and returns to the sea.

The babies hatch, crawl out of the sand and head straight for the water.
We flew to California, picked up our 4 grandchildren, and took a month-long RV road trip through the Southwest.  We named the trip PAMOSA "Papa and Mamma's Outstanding Summer Adventure".

We visited Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas.  Read our Letter Home for more details.
